Each year the Chinese calendar resonates to one of the 5 elements in the cycle. You can find your element from your year of birth. These essences are all energized by an additional element:

Fire– Simpson Desert sand
Earth– Rose Quartz
Metal– Leaf Gold
Water—Amethyst
Wood– resinoid (frankincense, myrhh etc.)
